Fascinating stuff. Didn't gothic 1 and 2 work the same way with the PC getting higher stats and faster animations and animation changes to not only attack and defend faster but also to respond to player commands faster as well? It also didn't take hours for that to happen.
Yes, weapon skill allowed your character to get more proficient with weapon corresponding to that skill. But it is also true that if you were new to Gothic, you had to learn how to fight as a player, irrespective of how skilled your character was. Did it take hours? I don't really care about the exact count. The point is; you had to walk the walk before you could take on guards in the Old Camp and such. It wasn't realistic to take them on in the beginning and it would take some hours to level up.

Yup, I heard your mamma is starring in this one as Sophia of Bavaria, wife of King Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia.

it's woke
I have a feeling Vavra is going to troll them by having European ethnicies. We'll see i guess.
I'd expect some Jews, they were the most important non-Euro minority in the HRE (and especially Bohemia) by far and Warhorse said years ago they regret they couldn't include them in KCD1, essentially for lack of resources (Jews 600 years ago were a far cry from the modern ones, a very distinct culture with their own clothing and housing and a ton of other extra art assets, plus the NPC capacity of the engine was already full, no more space for a fully realized Jewish quarter).
As for others, I can envision the Witcher 3 DLC scenario (a merchant or two from
the Orient or some such). Afaik there are no records of darkies in Kuttenberg but it was one of the most cosmopolitan cities north of the Alps so a few darkie NPCs would be plausible.
Btw there was an interview with Vavra in the Czech Forbes, they specifically asked him about diversiteh, and he just said "We don't wanna expand on this yet". So more info incoming at a later date I guess.

What the dude actually said was "You will get to see the end. And that's all I'll say." That it's an ending to Henry's story is an understandable assumption, but not actually something that was said outright.
Thanks. I added your input into the translation.
Thanks also for the additional translations, by the way.

Kind of a sh*t take there. Kenshi is fantastic and making an ImSim is not a negative its a positive. I read this as, we're still continuing to make that Bethesda style shlock but we're not Bethesda so it won't be sh*t.
But yeah not cool them sh*tting on Kenshi like that, I like Kenshi.
He was most definitely not sh*tting on Kenshi. He was merely trying to explain what kind of game they are making.

Honestly this sounds more like they're doubling down on a design that absolutely failed in the first game.
I wouldn't expect them to throw all this design, development, and QA work out.

After the original medieval RPG courted controversy over historical accuracy, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will feature "a wide range of ethnicities"
The 2018 medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance is getting a follow-up this year that promises to be twice the size of the original game, hinting at a bigger map, more features, and a greater number of quests. While the original courted controversy over depicting a recreation of 15th Century Bohemia devoid of people of color due to 'historical accuracy,' Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's grander scope means "a wide range of ethnicities."
Responding to a question from IGN over whether developer Warhorse Studio's "debated" philosophy on historical accuracy has changed, spokesperson Tobias Stolz-Zwilling says the following:

Jews are obsessed with Blacks for very simple reason: muh dick. They have big, Jews have small. They spiritually enter blacks, like you would enter battle mech or exosuit, and use them to rape other Nations. Now you know reason why Jews love Blacks: physical alter ego
After this post: I'm back on topic, you're back to being Jew. How you're never tired of being one, I dunno

Jews strategy Is to look harmless to get people off guard and rape the world. I heard that they even chop their dick.

Hard disagree here. Not being able to master combat because your character himself is sh*t at - due to his own stats being low - is the staple of any true RPG. Not only it serves as a way to progress from novice to master, in this particular instance it also helps the player to get better at controlling his weapons with time. This is how action RPGs should work. If some people can't sacrifice a few hours for that, then maybe RPGs aren't for them and they should stick to action games where RPG part serves as cosmetics or ups the numbers only.
That's not the issue. The issue has to do with how its introduced to the player and how there's no real way to tell what your opponents skill level is as it always feels like the people you fight have all the abilities unlocked. And there's not any real way to determine what technique could work better on what type of enemies, sure you have different weapon types but that doesn't extend to those abilities so when I fight someone I'm not thinking about how I beat them in a fair fight, instead I think what is the nicest wall or tree I can push them into and bash their head in till they die.
And Master strikes feel cheap like I'm cheating and pressing an i-win button like in Assasins Creed. I want the reward of mastering such a system and not just grinding through it. If that makes sense. Grinding is a symptom that the system was not designed properly. Instead when I'm training with the captain I should have felt like he showed me enough variety in the encounters I'm likely to face where I'd be ready to take those on and know what to do depending on who I was fighting. But what we get is "here's this ability... it may or may not be useful, but if you practice it 100 times you can bypass it anyway so it doesn't matter" really what it needs to be is as I progress through the training I get the impression I can do more in combat and will know exactly when to use it that each thing I learn is a new tool in the toolbelt that may be situational or general, they sort of do that with blocking but never really go beyond the initial lesson which is a shame because its a useful skill in the game but I should be pretty much good to go on the basic encounters without too much training. One problem is that you can in fact soft lock yourself if you under train Henry that's why I said you shouldn't have to grind that 20+ hours just to acheive the bare minimum to complete the game, it should make you pretty damn aware you need these skills to beat your opponents, the game never does that. My first run of the game I tried to stealth build Henry, big mistake you can't do it, Henry has to have some form of melee skill and it has to be grinded.
Same can be applied to horse riding even. It feels bad to fight on horse, so maybe the leveling up should've done something to make it feel less sh*t because that would've helped. Instead it just makes your damage better and prevents you getting knocked off. Ok cool but that doesn't help me put this poker thing in that dude's eye now does it? It just gives me a stat boost that makes it less annoying to travel on horseback but the combats still all over the place.
I know what to expect, I'm excited for the game, I enjoyed the first one but they are clearly playing it safe because Embracer will kill them if they don't. But to say the system is flawless is being indenial. We'll see what they've done to it, it might work out reducing the one direction from the wheel but I skeptical because there was more wrong with the system than just the complexity of it.

The horse ruled, you could trot away at an angle and shoot a whole gang of the toughest enemies to death with a bow. Unless you got stuck in a bush and they caught up to you.

It's actually very easy: literally more badass looking = more badass.
It's also supremely logical, peasants in tattered shirts are sh*t because there was no way for a peasant to learn swordfighting. Soldiers in chainmail are skilled but beatable with good training. And knights in full plates are the most dangerous... literally because it's their job to be good at fighting.
Agreed about master strikes tho, that sh*t was a classic beginner's mistake. Masterstrikes heavily encourage passive, wait-and-see type of combat which is the polar opposite what you want in an action game.

Unfortunately not true. Late game KCD1 you can meet beggars in tattered rags masterstriking you left and right like master swordsmen

I don't know what kind of CPU you need to get 60 FPS in KCD when a lot of NPCs are around but the one in PS5 probably ain't it. From what I read Dragon's Dogma 2 has same issue.
