Mortal Kombat 1: Auriana Grand (her surname is derived from her design inspiration, Ariana Grande.)
Note, her face model is based on Ariana Grande with Tabthia St Germain voicing her English voice lines. Her default outfit is her Magical Princess outfit from the series with a holster on her right side of her waist to hold the Ribbon of Volta.
Bio:
The princess of Volta, a kingdom in the realm of Ephedia. Auriana had an idylic life until Gramorr took power in a coup and her older brother, mother and father were incapacitated in the process. Forced to take on the regentship of her kingdom at a young age, Auriana was given a task by the resistance opposing Gramorr’s rule, search for new allies in the various realms and gather the Oracle Gems if necessary. This was a necessary change from the isolationist stance that Ephedia had with the other realms due to how dire the situation was.
Drifting from realm to realm; from Outworld to Seido together with her pet; Amaru, Auriana eventually based herself in Earthrealm after discovering the lost princesses of Ephedia, Iris, now in a pop idol band called LoliRock together with two other princesses of the kingdoms of Ephedia; Talia of Xeris and Lyna of Borealis. Joining up with them as their newest band member, playing the tambourine in the band while also fighting off Gramorr’s minions.
Auriana would soon be invited by Liu Kang as an observer in the Mortal Kombat tournament in Outworld due to her past giving her more awareness of Outworld’s cultural norms, only to be involved in a conspiracy by Shang Tsung’s Titan self to destroy Liu Kang’s timeline and with it, the New Era.
Walk Out Animation:
Auriana pulls out her Ribbon of Volta.
Select Animation:
Auriana puts away her ribbon and does a fist pump.
Gear:Hairstyle. (her side ponytail)
Skins: Default (her magical princess outfit), Civilian (her civilian outfit), Concept (based on her concept art costume) and Ninja (based on the Mortal Kombat II female ninja costume)

Intros:
1: Auriana inspects her ribbon before lashing out with it.
2: Auriana creates a small crystal that she then shatters in her hands.
Outro: Auriana creates a umbrella made from one of her crystal barrier that she hoists on her shoulders.
Throw: Voltan Beatin’:
Auriana punches the opponent in the face, gets behind her opponent and uses her ribbon to lash at the opponent’s groin, causing the opponent to kneel over from the pain.
Special Moves:
Rib Kneeing: Auriana grabs the opponent and proceeds to knee the opponent repeatedly in the chest before kicking the opponent away.
- Choke: Auriana proceeds to grab the opponent’s neck and choke the opponent before kicking the opponent away from her.
Volta Thumper (must be done to a airborne opponent) : Auriana extends out her ribbon upwards to catch and slam her opponent to the ground if it connects.
Line Charge: Auriana proceeds to slam her ribbon to the ground, creating crystals that smash into the opponent in a line, juggling the opponent.
Low Counter: Auriana enters a crouching stance that she exits out of after a few seconds . If the opponent hits Auriana with a low melee attack, Auriana grabs the opponent by the leg, shoves the opponent to the ground and slams the Ribbon of Volta into her opponent’s face before getting off her opponent.
Crystal Colidium : Auriana tosses out a crystal ball at her opponent.
Crystarmum. Auriana creates a crystal barrier in front of her that absorbs one non-high projectile in front of her. Can be shattered with a melee attack.
- Shatter Barrier: Auriana shatters her barrier, staggering her opponent back and damaging her opponent.
Fatal Blow: Regency’s Might:
Auriana starts her Fatal Blow by slamming her hands to the ground, creating a shockwave that staggers her opponent back and allows her Kameo time to execute their Fatal Blow. Once done, Auriana creates a crystal shield she launches into her opponent , knocking her opponent to the ground before then stomping onto her opponent’s chest, fracturing a few of her opponent’s ribs.
Fatalties:
Fatality 1: Volta Furorem:
Auriana rips off the opponent’s arms and proceeds to rip out their head and spine; from the front with her bare hands . As the opponent’s limp body begins to fall over, she then impales the opponent’s body from the back with a crystal spike before smashing the opponent’s head and spine onto the spike, launching out an eyeball in the process a la Sub Zero’s Frozen In Time Fatality before posing with her Kameo.
Fatality 2: Exfoliator:
Auriana summons Amaru in pegasus form, mounts him and charges towards the opponent, entangling the opponent with her ribbon and dragging the opponent face down onto the ground for the ride , scrapping the opponent’s entire front and a few limbs in the process from friction before stopping, dismounting and crushing the head (what could be charitably be called a head) of the opponent underfoot in the process before posing.
Kameo Win Pose:
Auriana pulls out her Ribbon of Volta and inspects it.
Brutalities:
- The Klassic: Auriana punches off her opponent’s head off with an uppercut.
- Back Throw: Auriana throws her opponent into the camera, splattering her opponent.
- Nuts!: Auriana executes her throw, only to eject out the opponent’s head with the final blow.
- Reve Ideal: Auriana grabs the opponent and proceeds to choke out her opponent before snapping their neck a full 180 degrees.
- Heads for Princesses!: Auriana tackles the opponent to the ground, repeatedly bashes in the opponent’s face with the Ribbon of Volta and rips out the opponent’s head with her bare hands.
- Crystal Ball: Auriana tosses out a crystal ball that punches a hole right through the opponent’s torso.
- Auriana the Impaler: Auriana sends her opponent flying offscreen using her Line Charge move before creating a bed of crystals to impale the opponent as the opponent lands.
Brutality Win Pose:
Auriana summons Amaru in her hands in cat form and proceeds to stroke him.

“My name’s Aurora.”
“Wait, Iris had a magical singing voice? I would like to hear it.”
“Only if you want something odd to happen, Smith.”
“The souls of some of your siblings beckon to you, Auriana.”
“Tell me what they said to you, Ermac.”
“We won’t accept your aid, Viltrumite.”
“I’ll break Ephedia, it’s rightful rulers and Gramorr to make an example.”
“Nitara, your feeding ends now!”

“How did you know of my hypocrisy in how I treat the Tarkatans and Mileena?”
“Empress Sindel, there’s a thing called ‘educated guesses’ . “
“I heard that Voltans are best at defensive magic.”
“Mileena, sometimes the best defense is a good offense.”
“I told you, I doubt that you truly intend to help us.”
“Must I prove myself in Kombat to convince you otherwise, Baraka?”
“How was Gramorr like in past timelines?”
“Very similar, Auriana.”
“LoliRock? That sounds quite charged, Auriana.”
“What are we supposed to call it? LoliPop?”
“You’re nothing but a spoilt child pretending to be a hero!”
“I’ve have a wider perspective from my travels than you, Grandmaster!”
“The magical arts of Ephedia would aid your quest."
"Thanks for aiding the Shirai Ryu, Auriana."
“So, wait you can use smoke as part of your powers?”
“What could you expect from my codename of ‘Smoke’?”
“Is there a timeline where Gramorr was dealt with before he could execute his coup?”
“None, Auriana.”
“Gramorr has agreed to a partnership with me and Quan Chi.”
“That’s a scary proposition, Shang Tsung!”
Tower Ending.

“With Shang Tsung’s Titan counterpart dealt with, I’ve returned with a list of allies to aid me. My kind originally viewed the Earthrealmers as primitives and Outworld as a realm of barbarians. But my experiences being based on Earthrealm together with my travels proved that the policy that Ephedia had with the realms was wrong. Ephedia together with it’s kingdoms need the help it can get to deal with him and retreive the Oracle Gems.”

“Through my efforts, I’ve managed to win over some allies in both Earthrealm and Outworld to aid me in my quest. I knew that Iris’ team and the resistance will face a near impossible task in freeing Ephedia from Gramorr’s rule unless outside help came to aid them.”
